This is most probably a stupid question, but I can't get jellyfin forums to send me mails when a response is made to a topic I follow.
Is that impossible?

Emails from the forum are flakey, in general.

Just FMI, why didn't we go into something a little more modern than BB, like for example discourse?

I was quite familiar with it yeah, being admin of one for years. But that was years and years ago, before more modern board systems came to life.
