Sorry if this is not the right place to ask.

I started ripping my 4k uhd discs and am experiencing playback (skipping, fetching) issues on my chromecast with google tv when streaming Dolby Vision files. I managed to verify that I am indeed direct stream dolby vision/atmos content correctly, but skipping forward or backwards results in multiple failures and eventually having to restart the content.

My question is: is there a easy solution for the playback issues while direct streaming 4k DV rips? if not, what's the best "out of the box" solution for streaming this files. I am wondering if a Apple TV 4K or a Shield would help. I have tried using the WebOs app but couldn't make DV work.

Direct streaming or direct playing? The former means the audio is being transcoded, the latter means nothing is being transcoded.

Can you share your server log via pastebin?
