Buffering Issues

Thanks in advance for any help solving this. I am currently running a mini PC with an i3 and 8GB RAM. My Jellyfin will sometimes run perfectly smooth, and then other times will stop to buffer 3 times a minute or even hit me with an "error encountered" message and shut the stream off. I have enabled the Intel transcoding through Jellyfin, but does anyone else have any tips or tricks as to help with the stopping/buffering?

Note, I am running the actual files off of a DAS (dedicated attached storage) with an 8TB Seagate HDD that is USB'ed into one of the USB ports on the mini PC. So is it a possible issue with my DAS disconnecting? Admittedly I do have issues where the DAS will randomly disconnect from file manager and reconnect, so if anyone has any trouble shooting about how to keep my DAS constantly attached to the mini PC without it ranbdomly disconnecting that would be helpful also.

My best guess is that you enter BIOS of the PC and look for options that may conflict with USB devices - I have had the same issue, and the issue was a energy related feature in BIOS of the PC.
