The documentation compares the various Intel integrated GPUs but for "Entry-Level - HD / UHD 500, 600, 605 and 61x" only states

Quote:These iGPUs usually come from mini PC boxes or Synology NASes and they can transcode HEVC 10-bit and apply tone-mapping filters. You can't expect much due to performance and power constraints, but it's still adequate for personal use.

without being more specific. For the next category it says

Quote:capable of multiple 4k HDR HEVC 10-bit transcoding

Should I deduce from that that a HD 610 can only transcode 1 4k HDR HEVC 10-bit stream or none at all? I am specifically interested in the Intel Celeron G4930.

My Intel J4205 has an HD505. It can transcode 1080p HEVC -> H264 at about 7-8x real time (this rate is for 24-30fps content). 4K is four times as many pixels as 1080p. I don't have any 4K content, but assuming a linear performance progression that would mean the HD505 can probably manage 1.75-2x real time transcodes of 4K content. Not sure how HDR and tone mapping would affect those numbers.

With the significantly higher TDP and GPU clock speed of the G4930 it should be able to comfortably do one transcode stream of 4K HDR HEVC. MAYBE two.
