    Hello.

    I have setup a proxmox lxc with jellyfin and mounted several disks to mount points.

    I open a terminal and I can access to the content of every disk without problem (read/write).

    Besides, I open jellyfin software and I can't access my movies folder located in /mnt/disco8 (it's an usb disk in case it matters).

    As soon as I select it in folder selection bar, text dissapears and nothing is selected. If I write it directly it doesn't see nothing.

    Result of
    Code:
    ls -la

    Code:
    drwxr-xr-x  8 root root 4096 Nov 29 19:19 .
    drwxr-xr-x 18 root root 4096 Nov 29 19:53 ..
    drwxr-xr-x  8 root root 4096 Nov 28 18:27 disco1
    drwxr-xr-x  2 root root 4096 Nov 27 18:50 disco3
    drwxr-xr-x 17 root root 4096 Nov 28 18:36 disco4
    drwxr-xr-x  2 root root 4096 Nov 27 18:50 disco5
    drwxr-xr-x  2 root root 4096 Nov 27 18:56 disco6
    drwxrwxrwx  1 root root  472 Nov 29 19:52 disco8

    disco8 it's the only one in this result which has a green background in case it matters.

    Were you able to add files from the other disks? What are the permissions on /mnt? Are the mounting parameters for disk 8 the same as the other disks?

    Yes, I have added files inside jellyfin from other disks.

    Code:
    ls -la
    from mnt:

    Code:
    drwxr-xr-x  8 root root  4096 Nov 29 19:19 mnt

    Mounting parameters in host fstab:

    Code:
    UUID=509C4C8B9C4C6E12  /mnt/disco8 ntfs defaults 0 0

    UUID=1796E244798DD062  /mnt/disco5 ntfs defaults 0 0

    "disco5" is recognized without problem, "disco8" doesn't inside jellyfin.

    Ugh. NTFS. That complicates things. I'm not familiar enough with Linux + NTFS permissions. Pretty sure its not as simple as changing "Linux permissions" on these drives.

    Should I try to backup files - format disk in ext?

    But even this way - why this disk is not read and my other ntfs usb disk are?

    It's been over 10 years since I used Linux with local NTFS disks. I don't remember the peculiarities with that combo.

    IMO, converting to ext4 would be worth the effort in the long run.

    Do your other disks not have enough space to kind of shuffle things around temporarily? I remember when I was converting my disks I just used every available thumb drive and free hard drive in other computers to hold data as I converted to ext4.

    Yes, I thought about it but I need a new drive anyway, so I'll buy it now instead of two months from now and I will start the right way. Thanks!!
