10.11.8 on Windows 11. Clients affected: Web, Android App, Roku

This is a weird glitch. Aside from the known issue of slow load times, I haven't had any issues with collections until today and only with a specific film. 2 weeks ago, I added a trilogy and manually created a collection for it (all of my collections are manual). All of the films showed up fine.

Well, today I go to watch the trilogy and the first film is missing from my collection (movie is still in my library and playable, thank goodness!). I add it back in. The dialogue box pops up and says that it's been added. But it isn't showing in the collection, which still only has 2 items in it.

I do a library scan. No change

I try to add it again. Same thing.

I check to make sure that I didn't fat finger it into a different collection.

I check the collection XML file and it's listed there, but not visible in the collection on any of my clients

Since it's only a three film collection, I delete the whole thing and recreate it. Same issue and again still listed in the XML

Then I tried to add it to a different collection just to see if that would work. Can't add it to any collections.

Tried adding different files to different collections and those all worked.

Film in question has an English language file name with no special characters. It does have special characters in the metadata, but so do a lot of my films and they seem unaffected

Can you upgrade to 10.11.11 and try again? I just want to make sure that this issue hasn't been fixed already. Also, there were important security patches in 10.11.10.

If it still doesn't work, please share your full jellyfin log via pastebin.

There are many collection-related issues that have been fixed in the upcoming 12.0 release. I wouldn't even bother trying to debug in 10.11.x.

Thanks! Upgraded to 10.11.11 and still having the same issue, but if this is fixed in 12.0, I'm happy to wait until then 🙂
