    Hello,

I love Jellyfin and I appreciate this community.

I have Jellyfin installed on a 7 year old laptop that is running that is running Windows 11.  When I first installed Jellyfin it worked great! I used it for months on my laptop, tablet, and TV without a problem.  It was running version v10.0.7 of Jellyfin (I think).  Then my computer wouldn't recognize my UHD/Blu Ray drive for ripping.  The laptop occasionally will not turn on too.

About a week ago, Jellyfin would not start.  I uninstalled the old version and updated it with the latest version v10.11.5.  I thought this would be a fresh install where I could re-install the databases, and set up everything new.  The computer appears to have not deleted the databases, just the main program itself.

When v.10.11.5 was installed, it will not let me login.  It will take sme to the connect to server page.  The correct IP address is entered into Jellyfin along with the port :8096.  I have verified the IP address multiple times thorugh the command line IPConfig.  When I click connect to server, I receive the following error "Connection Failure
We're unable to connect to the selected server right now. Please ensure it is running and try again."  I am stumped because I cannot connect to the server, and I also cannot completely uninstall Jellyfin either.

I am not sure what the problem is.  I think it is a backend database problem (sorry I am not that technically savvy).  I would appreciate any suggestions on how I may be able to fix this, including wiping Jellyfin completely and having a fresh install.

    Thank you!
