Very new to this. Please let me know if there something else I should provide to help. I searched for this issue and didn't really find anything that matches exactly, thought pieces of it match some other posts.
Started a new Jellyfin server a couple weeks ago and everything worked great. Everything working great. Had it running on a very old PC that had been sitting in my basement, and it was slow enough and I was interested enough that I upgraded. I bought a new small PC to run it on instead and now when I set everything up, it goes crazy with Collections. In the log it appears to be trying to create collections and then failing, but instead it just puts numbered empty collections. Every time it scans it adds more, and it seems stuck in this loop of scanning. I was up to 708 empty collections before I disabled the automatic collections option.
Which would be fine, but I also cannot create my own collections at all. I saw this problem in another thread. I go to add a movie to a new collection and it just spins. Does not matter if I have it search for images or not. I do have the permission to modify collections on my user permissions. I also cannot remove the collections that it generated. I tried to shut the server down, go in and remove the collections manually from the folder, as I saw in another thread, but now it looks like I have the collections on my server no matter what I show in the folder.
I'm on version 10.11.6 on Zorin OS 18 Pro.
