seems to be a related issue to https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-med...issues/497

I have an intel i5 7600 in my openmediavault system running jellyfin on docker.

Here is an imgur album containing a SS of the issue and my settings in playback. https://imgur.com/a/fjWzbgm

I have tried to turn off hardware acceleration, hardware decoding, and hardware encoding to no success.

Any pointers in the right direction would be appreciated, and I can provide additional information as needed.

EDIT: This issue does not occur when playing the av1 file in VLC.

The issue is the AV1 decoder that is built into MPV, the underlying player that JMP uses. There is no way around this issue, AFAIK. Not until JMP is updated.

Oh. I keep forgetting about this. You can give Jellyfin MPV Shim a try. I'm not sure if the version of MPV is any different than what Jellyfin Media Player uses based on the date of the last release. So I doubt it will resolve the issue but it is worth a try.
