Very first type of thread i have ever done so please forgive the NOOB factor.
Been using Jellyfin and really love it.
Would it be possible to add this feature, if not already some way capable.
Looking to either select movies, TV shows, Music, whatever media, and copy, send, export, basically to another connected device, usb flash drive ,external drive?

Just curious if anyone else maybe would want or use this.

speaking for myself, i have no desire to use jellyfin as a file manager because mine is in a docker container and it would require additional permissions and setup to allow this type of thing

Jellyfin serves content. It is not a file manager. I'm not sure what the benefit there could be to having Jellyfin do this instead of opening a file explorer window.

I know this is indirectly related. I have a scenario based off a request for a media cleaner script I maintain on GitHub. High level, the script is deleting media based off user inputs. The request is basically asking to have media moved instead of deleted as a safety-net. This user would then either run a different instance of the script with a much longer delete window or manually delete the media in the safety-net directories.

Ultimately I denied the request because I could not find a way to do this via the API.
