Country of origin for movie as tag?

Plugin that adds the movie country as tag?

    Hey there.

I was wondering if someone knows if there is a plugin that creates a tag with Country name or Nationality/Language for each movie.

For example in Plex when you click on editing a movie's metadata you can see country in tags which is the country of origin of the movie or where it was made. Since I can't find language or country filters in Jellyfin maybe there is a plugin that can add a tag to each movie with country and language so it's easier to find which movies are made where and what audio language they have.

I am not aware of a plugin that does JUST this. It would probably make more sense to make changes to the TMDB or TVDB plugins. But, AFAICT, only TVDB has the country of origin ("original country") in their metadata. It shouldn't be much effort to also pull down that tag, which the TVDB plugin does not currently do, to add it to the tags field.

As the country of origin belongs to essential data of a movie I don‘t understand, why there is no field in Jellyfin movie detail page to insert it, at least manually. Each movie site (tmdb, too) shows in the movie‘s overview the country or countries where it was produced.

That's cool. What do I need to do to make it do that?  Face-with-monocle
I was looking at the page how to make a plugin sooo Visual Studio Code?

You could open a github issue requesting the addition.
