    Sure,

it was set to not change the refresh rate, but I also tried the other two options and it did not change anything.

Can someone of you please open this issue? I do not have a github account.
Is there no way it gets fixed without open it on Github?

Before we do that, can you go to the Play Store listing for the Jellyfin Android TV app and sign up for the beta? The first 0.18 beta was released. Let's check if the new version, which has A LOT of improvements to the playback engine, resolves this issue.

I installed the 0.18 beta 2 but there is still the same issue.
I also tried all three settings regarding changing the frame rate but still nothing happened Slightly-frowning-face

Can you verify that you're on the latest version of Android available for your TV? I am pretty sure this is an exoplayer issue.

I am on the latest version available for my Bravia 9.
Since thats a flagship 2024 TV, I guess its also one of the latest Android versions.

I just looked it up on the internet, it should be Android TV version 12.

Based on what I am reading on the previous github issue for this, this might be a device specific bug. The previous git issue was also a Sony TV owner.

Actually, looks like all the users with this issue have Sony TVs.

So the question becomes, how do we get Sony to fix whatever they broke?

    Ok thats really strange...
So you think there is no way this can get fixed with a Jellyfin update?
Do you think this issue is related to the exoplayer? If it's really an issue related to Sony there is nearly zero hope for me to get this fixed, since Sony never cares about such problems..

From what I am seeing, both in our github and exoplayer's github, the majority of users with this issue had a Sony TV. I recall seeing one TCL owner with a similar problem.

The solution is, unfortunately, to use an external Android TV/Roku/whatever device. Or converting the videos to play HDR10.
