It would be very useful to be able delete shows and movies on Roku. I am constantly finding multiple movies on my Roku device it would be extremely time saving to be able to delete them while in Roku.

The consensus is that media management is not something desirable on a TV client. AFAIK, there are no plans to add this to the official Roku client.
However, JellyRock is a 3rd party Roku client (forked from the legacy official app) that you can try. https://github.com/jellyrock/jellyrock I don't have a Roku to verify, but looking at the code it appears that it can delete media. I'm double checking with the dev.
