Is there any way to modify the start page to let the users discover new movies and shows?
For instance, there's Jellyseerr project which is a web page that supports adding new movies/shows directly into Jellyfin.
Would it be possible to integrate Jellyseerr into the start page of Jellyfin to keep everything in one app to avoid having to switch?

I'm welcome to hear any other approaches/solutions to this Smiling-face

Jellyfin does not do this on the home page, currently.  If you click on a show/movie, at the bottom of the listing for that show/movie will be suggestions based on the genre of the current show/movie you are looking at.

    Thanks for replying @TheDreadPirate

I was thinking about displaying trailers/previews for media which isn't actually present on the current server to act like 'Discover' in Plex. I came across Custom Menu Links in Jellyfin which would make this possible through external projects like Jellyseerr but currently it only supports web clients and I haven't been able to come up with another alternative Slightly-frowning-face

If anyone have any tips then please let me know!

i think i understand what you mean, you are saying like the trending movies slider inside jellyseer right? in theory... there are two ways to do this

iframe that specific element and inject it to the jellyfin page however this could lead to issues *general disclaimer about modifying code here and how it will need to be updated and redone every update of jellyfin*

iframe a custom page to slot in place the trending movies or whatever you want using the overseerr api.. however im not well versed in that or even if overseer has an api all i know is it makes me think... and for that i might just poke around this at some point

until then checkout the latest idea into the madness that SethBacon and i are messing with linked above you might like seths addition to get 200 random things from the library and shuffle them, or my aproach with custom lists Smiling-face all added on my github.. pretty much a dumping ground for ideas and weird things.

    ohh edit:
third option a plugin that adds these to the main page but i still wouldnt be sure on how without api docs for overseerr/jellyseerr

    edit 2:
okay so i found the api docs and have a sorta working thing i will round it out when im not busy and update this thread with image nad a link to the github for it.
