    DLNA not working, running 10.11.11 on Linux Mint but using web client on Windows to send music to Denon receiver.

    Was working fine until recently..

    * removed DLNA plugin
    * stopped JF
    * deleted XML in /var/lib/jellyfin/plugins  and in configurations folder
    * rebooted, added DLNA plugin
    * logs say: DLNA Session created for "" - "DigitalMediaAdapterUPnP" using profile "Generic Device"

    Still no luck, DLNA says "Remote Control" but no DLNA - Denon Receiver.

    Any suggestions? Or workarounds? Want to 'cast' music to receiver,

    Is that a list of things you tried AFTER it stopped working? Have your firewall rules changed?

    No firewall, just local LAN stuff. Worked great for a very long time. Yes, these (uninstall/reinstall) were done after hoping to get DLNA working again after it stopped. Is there any way to debug DLNA?

    When you said you deleted the DLNA XML, was that in /var/lib/plugins/configurations? After uninstalling the plugin, I am assuming the main folder for the plugin in /var/lib/plugins was deleted.

    Regarding the firewall, can you double check?

    Code:
    sudo ufw status verbose
    Jellyfin 12.2 (Docker)
    Debian 13 w/Xanmod amd64v3 LTS kernel
    AMD Ryzen 5500 w/32GB DDR4

    Yes, deleted all references to DLNA in /var/lib/jellyfin/plugins. Recreated after DLNA reinstall

    Windows firewall was on, I disabled.
    On server:  # ufw status ... Status: inactive
    Also booted into Linux mint on laptop (dual boot). Similar like Windows, no sound.

    Some progress - says -DLNA now (but not Denon like before). Music seems to be playing but no sound.
    Verified receiver ok. Nothing in logs.

    Aha, success!

    Unplugged Denon for a few minutes, replugged.
    Switched browsers, cleared cache.

    Now Denon shows and music plays with sound.

    My guess is unplugging the Denon was the resolution.

    Thanks for all the help, out of curiosity - anyway to debug DLNA?  And any other 'cast' on the horizon?

    AFAIK, the plugin doesn't provide additional logging. DLNA CLIENTS broadcast to the network that they are a DLNA device, then the server responds. If the Denon client wasn't broadcasting then that would explain why it never showed up as an available device. In which case additional logging on the server would not have helped.
