Download on android Tv

How do I enable downloading on my android tv app? In the movie details screen it only shows Play, Watched, Favorite. On my android phone there is a download option for this same movie. Reason is my ISP limits upload speeds making 4k streamed playback not really feasible.

There is an external hard drive connected to my shield tv i was hoping to download to.

i do not know if it possible with shield tv but once i installed Android jellyfin (not Android TV) to my philips tv.
And android jellyfin worked fine. Try to do this.

OR install web browser on to shield tv and connect to your jellyfin server via
ip_jellyfin_server:8096
