Dumb Question for Today - Half/Insert Seasons

Is there any method or possible future addition to allow half/insert seasons for TV shows? For shows like The Walking Dead which began to half 2 distinct halves to a season. Or for shows that also have a movie, like The Simpsons and South Park, and now The Madalorian, to be able to insert the movie into the timeline of the show?

Yes I know about using Specials for these things and yes they can appeari in the full episode list in the order placement you want but in general and in the TV show view itself they cannot. Is/could it be possible to implement something like this?

The new Jack Ryan "movie" is a great example. I've made it season 5 in my library with a single episode because otherwise it ends up appearing at the begining of the series which is way out of order.

This is probably a more general to ALL media manager/server type programs than just JF specific but still, seems like it's time for something like this.

Doing some searching for Kodi and Google gave me an AI answer that it might be possible by naming the seasons Part 1 and Part 2 (for folder purposes) and then moving the appropriate items and using the regular season order. But so far my testing with that hasn't worked out, other than all episodes in 2 'Part' folders being grouped together for a single season.

So you're wanting to do this via Kodi? Because it might be possible to do that with Jellfin's plugin and not the Jellycon one. I use to use Kodi directly instead of Jellyfin in the past. If you had a movie library you could link a movie to a TV series. You had to do it manually and sadly it would be just for that one profile. Though, if that is fine using the Jellyfin plugin that makes you actually have to have the media mounts matching in Kodi could potentially work. How well I am not sure, but it wouldn't carry over to Jellyfin. Yet it would at least be sort of what you want if Jellyfin never or eventually provides such a thing.

I'd like it to work in Kodi as my TV clients but it would need to first be recognized in Jellyfin. Seems the AI was *gasp* full of crap and, while you can split season episodes int o 2 different folders, you can't display 2 halves of a season in the library itself. It all just gets lumped together into 1 which really just defeats any purpose of splitting them in the first place.
