    Hi everyone,
I'm having an issue with duplicate seasons appearing in my cartoon library in Jellyfin. I've tried various settings, but nothing seems to work.

    Details:
    • Jellyfin version: 10.9.6
    • Platform: linux x86_64
    • Distribution: Ubuntu 23.10
    • Kernel Realease: 6.5.0-41-generic
    • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G with graphics | Core 12
    • Folder structure: Flat library structure with series sorted alphabetically.
    • Scraper settings:

    • Preferred metadata language: Polish
    • Country: Poland
    • Special episode season name: Specials
    • Metadata savers: NFO
    • Save metadata to media folders: Checked
    • Merge folders: Checked
    • Metadata refresh mode: Never

In the "Metadata Providers" section, I have the following configuration:
    • Series: TheMovieDb (checked)
    • Seasons: TheMovieDb (checked)
    • Episodes: TheMovieDb (checked), The Open Movie Database (unchecked)

The "Automatically refresh metadata from the Internet" option is set to "Never".

In the "Image Providers" section, I have the following configuration:
    • Series: TheMovieDb (checked)
    • Seasons: TheMovieDb (checked)

In the "Image Providers (Episodes)" section, I have the following configuration:
    • TheMovieDb: Checked (this is the primary source for episode images)
    • The Open Movie Database: Unchecked
    • Embedded Image Extractor: Checked (this will extract images embedded within the video files if no images are found in TheMovieDb)
    • Screen Grabber: Unchecked
The "Save artwork to media folders" option is checked.
The "Merge folders" option is checked.
The "TrickPlay" options are both unchecked.
The "Extract chapter images" option is checked.
The "Extract chapter images during library scan" option is unchecked.

In the "Subtitle Providers" section, I have the following configuration:
    • Open Subtitles: Checked (this is the primary source for subtitles)
The remaining options in this section are unchecked.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

How are your shows organized? Can you provide examples of folder and file names? Preferably their full paths?

Are you linking the library to "Seriale"?

So there was a bug regarding season folder names. If they weren't, in english, "Season #" it would behave weirdly. That should have been fixed in the just released 10.9.7. So either try upgrading to .7 or change the season folder name to "Season 1".

I named in English "season X" and updated to version 10.9.7
I created a new library for this

I tried this out and got duplicate seasons if I used "Sezon". If I changed to "season", then the duplicates went away. However, I did have to rescan the library and replace all metadata for the change to take effect.

The file names should match the show name in your language, but they need to have s01e01 (or whatever season and episode) in the file name.
