I have a folder with kids stuff that I just can't properly organize. I have this as a separate library, browsing just by file/folder structure is fine for this.

BUT how do I stop items from this folder to pollute search results? When I'm searching for "Grand", I want to find Grand Budapest Hotel, not all Peppa Pig episodes about her Grandfather Smiling-face

I remember seeing an option for this way back but I just cannot find it now. Any tips? Thanks!

I know there was some work being done for 10.9 to improve how search works but I can't find that github ticket.

For 10.8, do you have this library only visible to your kid's user? In dashboard > Users, there are options to make certain libraries visible to certain users. Try removing the kids library from your user and see if that affects the search results. I've never tried this myself and am not home to experiment.

Hi, we generally use only one account as adding more would introduce needless complexity for no real benefit. So it's just a library with scraping disabled.

Just did some tests, the only way I can exclude items from the search is to prevent the current user from having access to an entire library.
