Favoriting one album adds multiple albums to favorites

When I click the heart to save The Low End Theory to my favorites, many, many other albums appear in my favorites. None of them are favorites. Despite this, some show the red heart. Others don't. I tried other A Tribe Called Quest albums. None of them cause this issue. I examined the metadata on The Low End Theory and I do not see anything unusual. A similar thing happens when I favorite A Tribe Called Quest as an artist. Lot of other artists that are not favorites appear in my favorites. No other artists have this issue (although I have only tested a few).

What version of Jellyfin are you running? If this was done recently, can you share your log with us?

Bah. Sorry, I forgot to add the info. Jellyfin version 10.8.13 arm running on a Raspberry Pi. No Docker. I see the issue on the web client and the Google TV client. Let me see about getting logs.

Hmmm. Nothing looks off in the log. The folder structure looks right. I'm not able to reproduce on my test setup. From which client did you add the album to your favorites?

Since this is happening on multiple clients, this is probably a server issue.

Submit a github issue there and attach the log you posted in this thread. Make sure you mention that this happens on multiple clients.

Again, apologies for disappearing. I switched to the WebOS client and now everything is fine. It must be something with the Android TV client.

Nope. I lied. The first five albums that I favorited were fine. The sixth triggered the issue. I'll submit the issue as you said.

I may have figured it out. I decided to take one more look at the album's metadata. I saw that the value of the MusicBrainz Album Id field is set to "usicBrainz Album Id" (yes, missing the M) on a number of albums. Using Metadata Manager, I cleared this field on three albums so far. Now for those albums, the issue stopped. I'm guessing I have a huge number of albums that all have "usicBrainz Album Id" set as the MusicBrainz Album ID. Jellyfin must prioritize that field over Album Title. When I favorite one of those albums, it drops every matching album into Favorites. I used my MP3 tag editor to look at the metadata on the actual files. That is where that field is set. I have no idea how it got there. I guess I screwed something up somewhere along the way. For now I am just going to edit the metadata on a case-by-case basis as I favorite an album. Maybe some time down the road I will do a mass edit on the files themselves.
