Filter by Genre does not work for books

Neither for audio (mp3) nor for books (epub)

Using five libraries: Movies, TV shows, Collections, Audiobook and eBooks.

All scrape fine, pictures are found, genres are recognized and displayed.

Correct Genres show up in all respective filter dialogues.

Correct Genres are shown in the meta data manager.

But filtering by gernes does not works for audiobooks (mp3) nor for ebooks (epub), for movies and tv shows no problems at all.

mp3 use multiple genre separated by "; ", seems that Jellyfin split them correctly but also splits gerne at "/".

epub use opf-files, also with multiple gernes.

Using the Filter button in the library, all I get is a exclamation mark right above the filter button, see screenshot - no results.

Coming from a file (mp3, epub), selection a genre in the details, I did not get the exclamation mark, just an empty list.

No errors in the log ...

    Thanks.

Try installing the bookshelf plugin, which is available in the official plugin repo.

I didn't have to add any genres in the files names or in metadata files, the bookshelf plugin added them and filtering works for me.

Also, how are you running Jellyfin and what OS?  Docker?  Direct install?
