For the past week I've been having trouble playing my LiveTV stream on my Firestick. It used to work flawlessly, now I keep getting errors.
The IPTV list will work fine in VLC. I tried turning on transcoding and got it working okay last night in Jellyfin using an external player, now it won't play at all.

I woke up this morning to multiple instances of ffmpeg eating up all 32gigs of my RAM.

Feels like a recent update really messed things up?

Two things. Can you share the ffmpeg logs associated with these live TV playbacks?

Also, can you upgrade to 10.9.9? There have been quite a few live TV related fixes since 10.9.3.

    Updated to 10.9.9, no change.
If I select use external player, I no longer get a choice of app, instead I get the error "Cannot play this video format"

Some of my ffmpeg logs have been pretty big (10Mb+)
However this recent one is relatively small:

I may have spoken too soon. After turning off the external player and unticking direct play on the client side, it appears to be working again!
