for my libraries i have the language set to "English" and country/region set to "United Kingdom"
for the vast majority this has matched the parental rating correct, in that the ratings all start with GB, eg GB-15, GB-PG etc.

however there is a handful of parental ratings where the rating is either missing or incorrect.
when trying to manually correct the rating none of the GB* ratings are available on the list to select from.

if the rating should be "GB-15", i only have the option of "15", and if i select that option it is different to "GB-15" meaning that i now have 2 separate 15 ratings in the filter list.

so how do i select the GB rating so that it matches all the other parental ratings?

Do some of the shows in your library that don't have UK ratings from your primary metadata provider?  I'm in the US, but some of my older Anime doesn't have US ratings.  So I get some ratings for other regions.

My understanding for how Jellyfin uses parent ratings is that each rating is assigned an age number.  So "GB-15" SHOULD be the same as "15" for the underlying "age" it will show if you were to set the parental restriction for a user.  If you have an unrestricted user, all available parental ratings will be shown in the filter.  Including from other regions.

yes the user is unrestricted, but the only parental ratings i can select from are shown in the screenshot.
selecting 15, and not GB-15, means that when applying a filter i have 2 separate 15 ratings, 15 and GB-15. none of the GB prefix ratings are on the list to select.

i don't know what you mean by that.
the issue applies to any of the content, be it movies or tv shows.

for movies, which is the library that is affected the most, the primary metadata fetcher is TheMovieDB, then The Open Movie Database

My bad.  I mis-understood.  Did you set the global region to UK?

Have you noticed anything common about the content that doesn't have the correct rating system? I've tried setting a US region for a specific library and a UK region globally and it honored the global region (IMO it should be the other way around).

I haven't been able to reproduce this issue. If you are able to find a common factor for the content that has this problem, please submit a github ticket.
