    Hello all.
I have a Linux based server that runs jellyfin.
In that machine I have a GTX 1650 to transcode movies from the NAS.

But the thing is I think it draws alot of power when not in use.
I'm pretty new in all this and was thinking if there was a card (preferly Nvidia do to it already run a Nvidia setup) that transcode as good as the 1650 but draw less power in idle.

    Thanks in advance

Nvidia GPUs have always been good about idle power usage. Even the older 1650.

What makes you think it draws a lot of idle power?

What other components are in your system? What are you using to measure power? Are there any displays attached to whatever you are using to measure power?

I have the full composition of my home to monitor and from that se the difference.

But I think there must have been some background stuff running the times I have looked in to it.
I have just made a "measurement" and the composition was around the 50-70 watt mark so I think I have some software to look in to.

So the CPU (Intel Xeon E5-2697 v2) and GPU does not look to be the problem.
