    Hi all,

I have just installed Jellyfin server 10.11.6 on my M4 Mac Mini and I have enabled hardware transcoding using the Apple VideoToolBox but looking at the Activity Monitor on my Mac while remotely streaming a test video file to my Pixel 10 Pro Fold over a 5G connection and forcing it to playback at 5Mbps bitrate, ffmpeg is using over 80% cpu and 21.1% gpu. Does this indicate it is using hardware transcoding?

I would've thought it should be the other way around where the gpu has a higher utilisation. Am I missing a setting?

Checking the ffmpeg logs can provide more information.

If the string "-hwaccel videotoolbox ... -codec:v h264/hevc_videotoolbox" is present, it means that hardware transcoding is working correctly.
