So i am running a topton NAS board with a N5105 that has a embedded gpu.  The chip is supposed to be able to handle a single 4k stream transcode.  I am running 32 gb of ram, on ubuntu server, with Jellyfin in a container.

On initial setup, it couldnt handle streaming 4k content at all, it would always attempt to transcode regardless if my equipment could handle the base file or not.  The end device is a Nvidia Shield on a 4k HDR Bravia screen, with a Denon AVR 5.1 surround sound.   Initially it would try to change it from a HDR stream to none HDr (so the color would like kinda greyish and dark).  I changed it to Intel cpu hardware transcoding, and enabled the file types.  I was able to direct play the content onto the shield in HDR, and for the first time with jellyfin, I was able to direct play the subtitles without it attempting to transcode them in.  The issue is now, when I try to play the content on my Linux desktop through a browser, I get a error message saying the content is incompatible..  Just kinda looking for information on how this should be set up with this CPU.  Just trying to direct play onto the shield.  Possibly do a transcode to  browser for now.

Also, does anyone know about the bug where Jellyfin won't mark a episode as played, and than force a repeat on the episode?   So if you are watching multiple episodes, and it should automatically play the 'next episode' defined as the next unwatched episode, it will repeat the episode you just watched because its marked unwatched.  So you have to manualy back out and re-enter and mark the episode as watched.

Can you share your ffmpeg logs with us? That will help us check if it is trying to transcode on the CPU instead of the GPU.

Also, follow the guide here for setting up and configuring QSV. Note "Known limitations #1". And the Linux container setup guide further down. Make sure you are passing your GPU render device into the container.
