How do I use tags? When searching I don't get any hits on tags, and can't click them either.

Don't really understand what they are for. Am I missing something?

I think the tags drive the suggestions at the bottom of a listing for a show/movie. "More like this".

To my understanding, the "More like this" section uses both the genre and tags of movies/shows to recommend simillar things.

Thanks. So there's no way manually searching for tags yourself?

If you're thinking about typing in words on a search bar and having the closest matching tags appear, then as of server version 10.8.13, no. I think there was something about tags being searchable with the upcoming v10.9.0 release however.

You can choose to display shows/movies with certain tags however.
In a library, click on the filter icon (3 horizontal lines, looks like an upside down triangle) and open the tag section.
In the tag section, you can select which tags will appear on your screen.
This tag filter will not show you media that contain exactly the tags you chose, but all media that contain at least one of the tags you chose.

Keep in mind that this filter will disappear when you exit the library. I think there have been people asking for filters to remain permanent (so you can only have unwatched shows appear for example).

Thanks! Over 5k tags so wasn't very efficient, but good to know it was possible when needing to find a movie you don't remember, and means good looks on the possibility of searching in later versions. I'll continue my tag-game in hope's it become efficient.

yeah, basically all of the Search functionality (or lack thereof) really needs work, having Tags, Filters, etc work only via a dropdown is ludicrously useless and pointless when there are thousands of Tags alone.
