My movie library is quite small (under 200 films), and I'm wondering what is the user experience like for people with large libraries? Is it still easy to use and browse?

    As of this moment....

6918 Movies - Have a list of over 500 more movies to add
    141 Music Concerts
    272 Comedy Concerts
585 TV Shows - list of 25 more to add
All TV shows, PPVs and special events for AEW, ROH and BTE
5168 Movie Soundtracks - 1500+ to currate and add
823 Music Albums (but my music library is all sorts of songs, albums and misc.)
    JF Wish List:
    IMDb Top250 metadata
    Read Music Album Sort
Soundtrack link to movie by title/sort/Manual
Media info shows added to Collections
    Collections WL:
    Content Rules - Library-Title/Sorttitle/Tag/Director/Filename/Contains
    Organized by Library
    Scanned to Editable XML

5 months later, over 300 movies and 30 more TV shows added.

I might need to seek some sort of support group.

To answer OP's question, it's not *as* easy to use and browse, because you encounter kind of a 'needle in a haystack' problem. There's nothing intuitive about browsing page after page of thousands of movies. If your question more specifically refers to how JELLYFIN handles large libraries, I don't find any issues like slow loading or anything like that, and I'm around 5000 movies.

This can be helped through using scripts like jellyfin-auto-collections to generate collections that focus in on specific themes, or using an app like kodi where you can display row widgets of different types (random unwatched movies, genres, themes, etc).

Discoverability will always be tough with large libraries.

The SPOTLIGHT CSS "plugin" is great for bringing random media to the forefront of your library. I've had numerous items pop up randomly that I've looked into deeper, added to my watch list and been able to enjoy some of. With or without trailers running I find it just fantastic. Would love to see other variations of the same concept if they are out there as well.

That stuff's really only useful if you and your users all use web clients, and on my server, basically nobody does.

I'm personally not super interested in solutions that don't span the various different clients, which is why I favor collections.
