    OK....

I'm fairly new to Jellyfin and I'm having a display delema.

So to put some context on this, lets take a look at "crossover" episodes. I've not come across this mechanism of creating content, and wish whomever did would bite off their own head, but...

    The Flash  (S05E09) - Elseworlds (I) ( "The Flash" Elseworlds, Part 1 (TV Episode 201Nerd-face - IMDb )
    Arrow (S07E09) - Elseworlds (II) ( "Arrow" Elseworlds, Part 2 (TV Episode 201Nerd-face - IMDb )
    Supergirl (S04E09) - Elseworlds (III) ( "Supergirl" Elseworlds, Part 3 (TV Episode 201Nerd-face - IMDb )

So these 3 episodes form the "crossover".

My idea is to display it just like any other series. Just with one season, 3 episodes.

    Now I can....
    • manually replicate the files
    • move them into a new folder called "Elseworlds"
    • rename each file (E1, E2, E3) to remove detail
    • remove meta info from each file (ExifTool is your friend)
    • then spend time manually creating/editing the detail

....but all of the sounds like a bunch of work  Upside-down-face

Is there an easier way of telling Jellyfin "..look...grab that one, that one and that one and display it as this..."???

Another user had this dilemma. They only had one of these shows, but their disc set included all of the crossovers.

They ended up using the "parts" syntax so that there was only one episode with multiple parts. It will only have the metadata from one of the shows's descriptions.
In their case, The Flash. But I think that is the more graceful way to handle this.

    Thanks for that..

I tried using the parts, but the display just didn't look right.

I've created a collection entry, which I then edited the meta tags of the episodes in questions and entered the link to it. Again, not ideal, but I like the display better.

    I'll keep playing with it!

How does it look when you use the parts syntax? Your other option is to group them as "versions".
