Incorrect identification of movie

I have the movie the Arthur in my movie library. It is the original Dudley Moore version from 1981. Jellyfin automatically misidentified this movie as the newer, 2011 Russell Brand version of the movie and pulled all the metadata and images for that one. Usually, when this happens I simply click the elipses in the movie profile, select "Identify" to search the movie title, find the correct version and save it and all the info is corrected. But, for some reason, for this particular movie it doesn't work. Jellyfin will find the correct version, but when I select it, none of the metadata or images update. It pretty much ignores the selection keeps the wrong info in place.

After several failed attempts, I decided to update the whole thing manually. I re-did all the metadata, editing the release date, the production data, the cast, the directors, writers, etc. That went fine. But when I tried to edit the images, I ran into a ton of resistance. After quite a bit of struggle, I found a way to correct everything but the backdrop. Jellyfin will just be damned if I'm gonna take Russell Brand out of the backdrop. I can add new backdrops, but it won't display them. It keeps the Russell Brand Back drop prioritized. I cannot delete it. I cannot move it. It is my god now. It owns me.

What's up with this?

I'll give that try. All of my movies and associated files are pretty much dumped into a single directory and separated by folder, but I'll create a folder for this one, name it and it's movie file like you suggest and see how it goes. I'll let you know if this works.

I have it set like this:

Movies
└── Arthur (1981) [tmdbid-13665]
      └── Arthur (1981).mkv

I have this movie and it works fine for me...

The above works with the TheTMDB plugin installed and turned on in the Library.

@alleycat, before I saw your response I decided to re-identify it again but, this time, unchecking the option to replace existing images. If that doesn't hold, I'll try your solution. Thank you.
