I clicked thru the "security" issue, but still no joy.

I get this error in Terminal.

An error occurred while loading required library libhostpolicy.dylib from [/Applications/jellyfin-server_10.8.13/]

Refer to the unstable doc: https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/testing/server/macos

This is for unstable but the stable portable installation should do the same thing now. That doc will be updated when 10.9 is out.

    is there a stable version?
when I clicked thru. There was a link to vFFmpeg 5.x (Jellyfin 10.8.z). That link has nothing.
Or should I just try with JellyFin 10.9?

The only app we have that is version 1.9.1 is Jellyfin Media Player.

Pretty Gnattu was referring to this download.

Darn the Luck ! ! !  Still having an odd issue.  When I select JFS Launch Web UI, the Emby UI comes up with the wrong port, 8096.
I have set the JFMP port 8094.
All seems OK, but I dunno what the issue is with not being able to see the JF Web UI.
    Log attached.

The official Jellyfin-ffmpeg only has 6.x version, because we only added support for it in 10.9

The 6.x ffmpeg is backward compatible with 10.8, you can just use that.

If you are using the packaged app that has a menu bar icon, then that one is hard-coded to open 8096.

If you changed the port you have to manually enter that in your browser.
