Hi all. I’m hoping you all can point me in the right direction. I have some basic cooking skills that I’m wanting to grow on and move in to helping you all with the development of the clients on android. What languages are the focus here? What would be best for me to start digging in on and freshening up? Any advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

My first stop would be the Github Repository https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-androidtv. The code is there, issues postings and discussions specifically to programming the Android TV app.

I know its a long long shot, but if you can get the layout and proper loading in the 3mby app, then we can have something worth downloading. Honestly, Jellyfin server with 3mby app be PB&J. There clients works, just server side has issues scanning. Jellyfin scans in 100TB in matter of hours, vs 3mby in days..

Jellyfin clients needs alot of work. Lot of work.

You can say “Emby” or even “Plex” here, I promise. 🤣
