I am using an old laptop with Ubuntu server OS and nginx. I am not using docker and at this point I feel like I would just make a mess of things if I tried to go that route. Anyways I gave my server a static IP but the issue comes from Spectrum changing my public IP every time the wind changes. Usually I just have to go change my A Record and everything works until the next IP change. This time it is taking longer to work than usual and on top of that I was wondering if there is a way to avoid all this? And to be clear I am talking about remote access I can access my jellyfin locally with no issues. Thanks in advance.

You can find an application that will update your hosting/DNS provider with your current IP.

    https://www.cloudflare.com/learning/dns/...namic-dns/

It's called dynamic DNS. Many of these services (NoIP, dyn-dns, DuckDNS) offer domains as well or even require that you use their domain to use their dynamic DNS service. There are also very simple apps out there on GitHub that'll do it.
