My Jellyfin client (v1.10.1 on Windows 10) will have extreme UI lag/unresponsiveness while video is playing. Any time video is not playing, the client is responsive and fluid as I'd expect it to be. The Jellyfin server is hosted on an Unraid docker instance, and I can see that the server machine is not being taxed hard either. I can also verify that other users are not experiencing the unresponsiveness/lag that I have.

I've updated the client/server multiple times while I've been having this issue. When I check my task manager, I can see my CPU, GPU, and RAM (5800X3D, 2080ti, 32GB 3600mhz) are not being taxed very much at all.
I looked at the settings and tried setting the "Use OpenGL" and "Display refresh rate sync" settings on and off, but see no change in behavior.

Watching using my web browser (Firefox) is working perfectly but I'd really prefer to use the client. Any known fixes? Things to try?

Do you have more than one monitor?

You can try clearing out the JMP appdata.

    C:\Users\yourUser\appdata\local\jellyfinmediaplayer
    Jellyfin 10.10.7 (Docker)
    Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS w/HWE
    Intel i3 12100
    Intel Arc A380
    OS drive - SK Hynix P41 1TB
    Storage
4x WD Red Pro 6TB CMR in RAIDZ1

I deleted both appdata/local/JellyfinMediaPlayer and appdata/local/Jellyfin Media Player (maybe a new bug with client making 2 folders?) and there was no change in responsiveness when I restarted the client.

I have a 1440p 360hz monitor and a 1440p 120hz monitor dual setup, though the problem was the same when I had 3 at 1080p 120hz/ 1440p 170hz/ 1080p 60hz setup. I had the same setup when it was working perfectly as well.

I tried changing to 60hz/60hz, 120hz/120hz, 60/120, etc. and saw no change in responsiveness of the UI during playback.

I don't know if you solved it, but I have a very similar setup and the issue improved a lot by enabling deinterlace, linking to original post: https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-med...2408900346
