Jellyfin docker container. Access to external storage

I use the Jellyfin server docker container(latest version) under the UmbrelOS.
Now since my media is on USB-attached storage, I need to add docker volumes to Jellyfins' docker-compose.yml config file in order for Jellyfin to access the media.
But after each Jellyfin update, this file is overwritten.
Is there any other way to solve this?
Suggestion: add an "include/import <file>" line for local changes in the docker-compose.yml(if possible, in a future release)?

I'm not familiar with UmbrelOS. Are you installing/updating Jellyfin from their "app store"? And then modifying the docker compose file?
