[*]The version of Jellyfin you are running (e.g. 10.8.10)  -   JellyfinMediaPlayer-1.9.1-windows-x64

[*]Your installation method and platform (e.g. Linux Docker, Debian repository, Windows installer, etc.)  -  Installed on PC running Windows 10 pro

[*]A brief description of the issue as your thread subject, using the description for additional important context only if required  -   I have been playing videos though the web browser version on my pc, but noticed the colours were really washed out and if I played the same video though a media player like VLC the video looked fine.   After looking through web, I saw a lot of folks recommending to use media player to fix this. So I installed the media player and logged into my server.  No video plays. None of them. Doesn't matter if its mkv, mp4 or avi.

[*]A full explanation of what is happening, versus what you expect to happen   -   When you click on any video you just get a circle loading thing appear on the media player and video doesn't play.  I do use the app on my iPad as well and everything plays fine. If I play a video on web browser on the same pc everything plays fine.  I expected the media player to play the videos fine.

[*]What client(s) you are using and how the issue manifests  -  Not sure what this means sorry.

[*]Any other context you might think is relevant  - Even though I have used jellyfin for a while, I'm a noob troubleshooting and accept this may just be something really simple in settings, honestly just no idea what that might be!

It sounds like you are trying to watch an HDR video and you don't have tone mapping enabled.

    What are your server specs?

Can you provide the media info for the video in question?

Can you upload your logs to https://sourceb.in/ and link them back here?

Got tone mapping enabled. There's no logs for it either, when I check they only show plays from web browser or ipad, its not logged anything from the media player. Its every single video without exception. I have 100's of videos in different formats. None of them play. They all play fine in web browser (on same pc media player is installed) and the app on my ipad. Sever specs below

    Server: DESKTOP-4P477S1

    Version: 10.7.7

    What CPU and GPU?

There should be logs in C:\ProgramData\Jellyfin\Server\Logs

    CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Six-Core Processor 3.40 GHz
    GPU - GeForce RTX 3060

Searched my Jellyfin folder on cdrive and it doesnt have anything named ProgramData or Logs. There is a server folder but nothing named data or logs in it?

That is the jellyfin media player logs. I need the server logs.

When you installed Jellyfin, did you do a basic install or a service install?

In the bottom right, right click on the jellyfin tray app and there should be a Logs option. It should open a file explorer for the logs location.

That is an ffmpeg log. Good to have. But I also need the main server log. There should be a log that is just "log_<today's date>.log"

Also, are there any ffmpeg logs that are named "ffmpeg.Transcode.<date>.log"?
