Hello! I try to explain my problem as best as i can.

I use Jellyfin for years now, never had that big problem before and tbh i'm really stressed now.

So.. i updated my jellyfin from 10.10.7 to 10.11.3 - at the start everything works fine but only for like 20 minutes.

My logs absolutely tell me nothing wrong. No bad entrys or else.

When i use the Jellyfin Media Player on Win11 it loads like infinite.. after a few mins the cycle stops and i'm able to click on any main folder.
After clicking on one to see all shows in it, it repeads the progesss.. cycles like infinite.. sometimes it stops and shows all my shows or it just do nothing at all and i have to restart the Media Player.

But sadly thats not all.. sometimes i click on shows and it stops working asap. nothing loads, i'm not able to click on any, i cannot go to admin dashboard.. nothing.

And still no log file update about any problem, also the server isn't crashing im just not able to view anything until i restart the player and hope it works now.

So i thinked.. okay it has to be a problem on my pc or else. So i testet it on my TV without any Sticks. WebOS spits out the same problem.. maybe it loads or maybe not. Restart and trying again.. then i checked my firetv 4k max stick out.. same problem.. sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Again no log entry about that.

I checked everything, checked all my folders hand by hand. checked if something got deinstalled or is broke - i also tryed to reinstall jellyfin on a fresh installed version of Rapsi with Linux Lite, checked all rights, really i tryed everything.

But the problem is still there.

idk if this is a Media Player issue or a jellyfin problem itself.. i only get this hardcore problems with 10.11.3

after reinstalling the latest vesion and getting the same problems, i tryed 10.10.7 again and all my problems are gone asap.

So i have really no clue what causes the problems i got..

So got anyone the same problem? is there any fix for it? or do i have to wait until a newer version cames out to test if it works now?

From what I came across with it is performance came to a halt after migrating from 10.10. The cpu suages was pinned at 30% no matter how many cores I allocated to jellyfin. Because I had stayed too long on 10.11 my backup from 10.10 was now expired and gone from my retention policy. So I did the best thing I could think of. Kill the jellyfin process and rebuild on 10.11.

It took time but all those issues I had vanished. I would chalk this up to how complex the migration is. Maybe background, maybe something else, but I had dramatically improved after rebuilding on 10.11 without migration.
