Jellyfin not loading in Chrome, Windows

When going to http://localhost:8096/web/index.html#!/home.html, I just see the jellyfin logo, that's all

You said that there weren't ANY logs. I'm assuming you also mean server logs? Can you open task manager and check if it is running? Even if it fails to start it should still log.

    Anything in event viewer?

I did a full restart of my computer (only done about once a week because... idk) and it now says "localhost refused to connect" on the Incognito window attempt

so when I close jellyfin Tray App it briefly shows up then goes away, but when it is running the app does not show in Task manager at all

Where are you looking for jellyfin server logs? Sounds like it is starting up enough to log something.

    My C:\ProgramData\Jellyfin is entirely empty

which is... weird considering this happened out of nowhere (I have never touched these files) and has persisted after a reinstall

Which install type did you do? Basic or service?

What happen when you run the installer as admin? That ProgramData directory is where the database and configs should be. Does your user not have sufficient privileges to write to that folder?

I'll reinstall it and specifically tell it to run as administrator and see if it works, at least see if it gives me logs. I'll delete C:\ProgramData\Jellyfin as well to make sure it re-makes that folder to make it clean and see if it works

ran the installer as admin, used basic installation, got this error (Error opening file for writing:
    https://ibb.co/X2fxmJT

I can't see that Jellyfin is open anywhere on my computer, nor that anything is accessing those files. Will do a computer restart and try again.

Fully uninstall, clear out C:\Program Files\Jellyfin and try again?
