Hello!
I'm just diving into the world of Synology/NAS and picked up a DS423+ and 2x 12TB WD Red Plus HDDs for my initial setup.
I've been experiencing some issues with internet speeds on my gigabit connection (which I'm sorting out between my router and my ISP), but still getting about 1-300 Mbps up and down - although this should have no impact on my LAN which is where most of my usage is happening.
I installed Jellyfin last night and I'm finding that it runs incredibly slow. It will take several minutes to load up the Jellyfin homepage on a computer on my LAN, and if I have someone connected externally, it may never even load on my LAN as a second user trying to connect. When I try and pull up my Resource Monitor to see what may be going on, all the panels are blank when this is happening.
I currently have an assortment of containers running (radarr, sonarr, gluetun, qbittorrent, etc.) but everything I've read says out of the box the DS423+ should be able to handle what I'm throwing at it and more.
Are there any suggestions on how to best troubleshoot figuring out what may be going on here?
