Is there any chance to update the firmware and update the linux kernel to 6.1/6.6 LTS?

However, I would be willing to run the commands once I get back from my trip.

You could also upgrade your install to Mint 22, which would upgrade the kernel and AMD firmware.

Keep in mind that upgrading from 21.3 to 22 is pretty much "apt upgrade+++". It's not like upgrading Windows where it is almost completely overhauling and replacing everything. Linux upgrades are mostly just upgrading versions of packages you already have installed.

I updated from Ubuntu 22.04 to 24.04 seamlessly earlier this year. Took less than 30 minutes, IIRC.
