Been trying now for hours trying to get jellyfin to show .ASS subtitles but just cant get it to work.

Im running version 10.10.0 as a docker on Unraid. I have enabled hardware acceleration and turned on transcoding aswell, but .ass subtitles wont appear at all. Other types of subtitles work. Im not that experienced and I just got unraid running yesterday, so everything is very new to me. I have been running jellyfin on windows previously for a few months with no issues. Currently at a loss whats going on...

It says it is burning in the subtitles. What client are you playing on and what kind of Nvidia GPU?
    Jellyfin 10.10.7 (Docker)
    Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS w/HWE

    Intel Arc A380
    OS drive - SK Hynix P41 1TB

Which Docker image are you using? The official image or a 3rd party image?

I booted up my unRAID test setup and I wasn't able to replicate.

Do you have any fallback fonts setup or something?

I'll do more testing when I get home. I noticed something that may have affected my test last night. Most of my content with ASS subs has a bunch of attachments for fonts, but yours doesn't. I found an old show with ASS subs without any font attachments. So I will spin up my unRAID test setup again and re-test with that show.

I'm wondering if there is some weirdness with how unRAID passes in system fonts. Since it is burning in the subs, it would be using system fonts and not client fonts.

Were the fallback fonts you added to the server WOFF2 format?
