I use Sonarr with JF. For example, with Pokemon, it lists the newest anime season (Horizons) as 20 where it's basically season 25 everywhere else. I have TVDB installed on JF and active, so I'd assume it would follow Sonarr, but it apparently isn't. Example: Season 19 of Pokemon is XYZ series but on Sonarr/TVDB, it is Pokemon Journeys, but on JF shows as Sun & Moon. So, I organized my library that way today to match TVDB (after a few hours, smh) just for it to still not work right. The attached photos are showing what my JF currently has. Also, I do have the episode titles named properly to show season/episode and whatnot. Same with some other shows.

Since Jellyfin is in favour of TMDB for metadata, what I am planning to test is to use only TMDB I will disable everything else. I will then use Sonarr to generate NFO files that contain episode ordering. Let TMDB be the source for art etc and descriptions and episode ordering will be Sonarr sourced. I am currently scanning it in to test this.

ok, I have tested it with Dragon Ball Kai and a few none anime shows that had the wrong episode matching. See the attached screenshot for the Sonarr metadata settings. Doing this will make it so all your episodes are match correctly and have the correct thumbnail images etc. No need to install or enable TheTVDB plugins. Just leave the metadata settings as default when adding a library.
