https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/post-i...re-support says "Gen 9.x SKL+ graphics - Support non-LP and LP (H.264 only) encoding." (Kaby Lake)

However I can't find any documentation which backs up this claim of only doing H.264 LP Encode. I'm not sure if I'm reading this right, but this page from Intel (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/...odecs.html) seems to suggest that 7th gen core (Kaby Lake) *does* support LP encoding on HEVC 8-bit and H.264.

This page contains error messages. Please refer to https://github.com/intel/media-driver#de...g-features for accurate information.

Therefore, when running "vainfo" on a Gen9 iGPU, "VAEntrypointEncSliceLP" will only be displayed under "VAProfileH264*", not "VAProfileHEVC*".
