Live TV - pausing, but then can't fast forward to real time?

Trying out Jellyfin for watching Live TV tonight. We paused the beginning of a show until we were ready to start watching. Ended up with about 15 minutes of pause time. When we got to the first set of commercials, we assumed we'd be able to fast forward like we can on Plex, but it doesn't appear we can.
Is that right?

Found a couple threads on Reddit from 2 years ago talking about this. No solutions.
Well, I guess it was a test...that failed miserably.
