I have a TV tuner USB stick on my machine. With w_scan2 I can scan all my TV channels. This output is in XSPF format which I then convert to M3U by opening the XSPF file in VLC and saving to M3U file.

However, when I set up M3U Live TV tuner in Jellyfin, none of the channels appear in Live TV channels listing. So, there's probably something wrong in the M3U file or Jellyfin doesn't support local USB TV Tuners in the first place. I couldn't find any information on what's the exact format/syntax Jellyfin expects. Does anyone know that?

My M3U file looks like this (just more of those entries, here's just two as an example):

    #EXTM3U
    #EXTVLCOPT:dvb-srate=6900000
    #EXTVLCOPT:dvb-ts-id=0
    #EXTVLCOPT:dvb-modulation=256QAM
    #EXTVLCOPT:program=154
    dvb-c://frequency=266000000
    #EXTVLCOPT:dvb-srate=6900000
    #EXTVLCOPT:dvb-ts-id=0
    #EXTVLCOPT:dvb-modulation=256QAM
    #EXTVLCOPT:program=155
    dvb-c://frequency=266000000

Any ideas what's wrong? What's the exact syntax Jellyfin expects?

I believe Jellyfin only accepts IPs, hostnames, and URLs for M3U tuners. You will need to use a proxy like TVHeadend to use your DVB-C with Jellyfin.
    Jellyfin 10.10.7 (Docker)
    Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS w/HWE
    Intel i3 12100
