I am trying to get a HTPC running jellyfin Server on Ubuntu 24.04 to autostart a browser pointed at 127.0.0.1:8096 ie loopback address) in full screen mode. An alternative would be running Jellyfin Media Player in full screen mode at boot-up. So far I am plagued by browsers asking for keyring authentication (I want HTPC to auto-log on, as I want to control it with a HT remote. JMP wants me to enter the server IP (which is the same machine) and the username/password each time I run it. Any ideas?
I would have preferred a minimal kiosk, but none of the OS's I have looked at will allow me to install Jellyfin Server on the machine and to edit the fstab to allow for auto-mounting my NAS at start up.
Thanks in advance for any help!
