Hello folks! I've tried searching for my specific issue and couldn't find any relatable topic covered before. I've tried connecting my external drive many times now with different variations of the file path and tried changing privacy settings, sharing settings on the drive in question etc. I've got my firewall up, but I've allowed Jellyfin, and My logs show "[2024-12-01 06:25:14.767 -07:00] [WRN] [53] MediaBrowser.Controller.Entities.BaseItem: Library folder "/Volumes/LaCie/User/Videos/Movies" is inaccessible or empty, skipping"
I know MacOS has unique issues, and I guess I'm not tech-savvy enough to figure out what I'm missing.

What file system is the external drive using? exFAT? NTFS? Something else? Does MacOS apply ACLs to external drives, like Linux does?

Howdy, thank you! Its using journaled hfs+ as its file system. Its shared, and all sharing and permissions are for read & write. I'm not sure about the MacOS version of ACL's, it seems to extend to external drives as well at least

Did you give Jellyfin full disk permission in Security & Privacy Settings?
