I recently upgraded my Jelyfin server  and now I am having to identify most of my movies and shows and with 14TB of media that is a lot of manual work since I am doing it via IMDB codes. I was wondering if there is a way to do this automatically?

I am running ubuntu server os and installed Jellyfin via docker.

    Thanks in advance.

As long as you've named things properly, it should auto identify on the first try. With some exceptions for short or common show/movie names. For those, you can put the TMDBID in the folder name.

    "WALL·E [tmdbid-10681]"
    Jellyfin 10.10.7 (Docker)
    Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS w/HWE
    Intel i3 12100
    Intel Arc A380
    OS drive - SK Hynix P41 1TB

Thanks this seems like as much work as just identifying them on Jellyfin. Thanks. I wanted to automate it.

I would recommend using an external program such as tinyMediaManager to organize and identify your media.
