Hey gang,
I have installed Jellyfin on my computer. For a few years now I've had Plex running and all has been well. They're starting to push this subscription stuff now, despite having paid $5 to use Plex on my iPad in the first place, so here I am trying out Jellyfin. Got a coworker that has used it and really likes it.
My problem is, I can't get it to see my media. I am currently running Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS and I have my software installed on my main drive while I have a secondary drive mounted that is just for storing all my media. Plex has not had any issues ever seeing all my files. Now as I attempt to add these locations to Jellyfin, it looks like it isn't even seeing those folders.
I have attempted to add permissions using chmod without really any luck. I'm not super fluent in Linux commands from the terminal so for all I know it's something simple and stupid I'm missing. Appreciate any input you all get provide so I can get this thing rolling to test Jellyfin out.
