    Hey guys,

I have been trying to set up Jellyfin and have been running into an issue with metadata. I have a series (Futurama) where my episodes are numbered based on the DVD order, and I was able to find how to switch the series to use the DVD order. However, even though the episodes show up in the correct seasons now, it's as if the metadata is still stuck being pulled from aired order somehow. For example, season 4 has episode descriptions and titles right up until episode 12, then the metadata stops and the UI just shows the file name as the title, no description, etc. It stuck out to me because S04E12 is the last episode of that season if you go by aired order. Similarly, S02E19 is "The Cryonic Woman" if you go by DVD order, but in my library it is showing up as "Mother's Day" which is the correct title for S02E19 in aired order.

Has anyone encountered something like this and might have some tips for how to fix it? I have tried to refresh the metadata (I've tried all three options in the drop-down there), no dice. I've tried to use the TVDB plugin to grab metadata instead, no dice. I'm not sure what might cause the metadata to get stuck like this but would really appreciate any tips y'all can give.

    Thanks!

Try this. Go to your tvshow library. Click on the three dots on your Futurama poster, click "Edit metadata". Go down the page to display order, change to DVD and Save. Rescan the library.

Yeah, that is what I did to set the DVD order, but it didn't have any effect when re-scanning. Unfortunately I can't reproduce the issue - I wiped my data and rebuilt the library from scratch figuring I'd work out the exact reproduction steps to file an issue, and the second time around I didn't run into the same problem. Very strange issue, I can't complain that it's working but it would've been nice to figure out exactly what was hosed when I originally posted the thread.
